Travel Nursing and Allied Health Staffing Company Medical Solutions Announces Joint Effort with Dr. James Turbatus at Upcoming National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition

May 6, 2008 - Omaha, NE - Travel nursing and allied health staffing company Medical Solutions has announced that Dr. James Turbatus, the discoverer of Restless Nurse Syndrome (RNS) will attend the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition in Chicago, IL May 6th through May 8th in an effort to raise awareness for this troubling epidemic.

Dr. Turbatus will be on-call at his “Free Restless Nurse Syndrome Diagnosis” stand at the Medical Solutions booth #1512. In addition to providing diagnoses, he’ll give away free t-shirts, self diagnosis charts, DVD collections of his online case studies and complimentary samples of Lacidem, the wonder-drug cure for RNS when used in conjunction with a 13-week travel nursing assignment with Medical Solutions. Accompanying the doctor at the booth will be Medical Solutions staff designated as Certified RNS Specialists.

“We’re excited to have Dr. Turbatus join us at the conference. Through our partnership to provide travel nursing jobs for his patients, we’ve been able to make an impact. We continue to work to raise awareness for RNS and the NTI Conference will give us exposure to thousands of nursing professionals who may be at risk,” stated Scott Anderson, President of Medical Solutions.

Through a statement released by his Restless Nurse Syndrome foundation, Dr. Turbatus said, “I’d like to think that my attendance at the NTI Conference will be an event within an event. Although my discovery of Restless Nurse Syndrome is somewhat recent as far as syndromes go, I am still surprised by how widespread RNS is. It seems we’ve only scratched the surface. I am hopeful I can spread the word and create awareness of this dreadful epidemic among the conference attendees.”

Dr. Turbatus was recently awarded the Medical Solutions Nurses Who Like Nursing But Don’t Like Nursing Where They Nurse Grant and entered into a partnership with the healthcare staffing company. Through this agreement, the doctor provides training for the Medical Solutions staff to become qualified RNS Specialists while Medical Solutions is the sole provider of travel nursing and allied health jobs for his patients.

Restless Nurse Syndrome is a psychological condition typified by a strong, compulsive urge to move your nursing career accompanied by twitching and uncomfortable, uneasiness from working in one place or doing the same thing for too long. There are four main strains of RNS, which include: Locationitis, Salarytosis, Jobsession and Nofriendleosis. While the exact cause of RNS is unknown at this time Dr. Turbatus has made important discoveries that have led to its treatment

The successful treatment of RNS relies on Lacidem, an organic based drug with the active ingredient Snoitulos (not yet FDA approved). After a series of clinical trials on lab squirrels, Dr. Turbatus began testing Lacidem on restless nurses. He soon realized that with nurses however, travel nursing jobs from Medical Solutions must also be included in the treatment. After travel nursing was introduced into the treatment of his test subjects their RNS symptoms disappeared.
