Emergency Room Nurse
Traveling nurses in the field of Emergency Room Nursing administer care for patients in the critical or emergency stage of an illness or trauma, and must be able to diagnose life-threatening problems and regulate the proper care necessary. ER nurses must be ready to care for a vast number of ailments or injury situations, ranging from a sore throat to a heart attack. They must engage in a wide variety of tasks with professionalism, competence, and above all-caring. Emergency nursing is a unique area of healthcare which makes this profession like no other. ER nurses are not bound to specifically working in the Emergency room which is why they must possess both common and specialized knowledge about healthcare to provide the utmost care for people from all walks of life. These nurses may have additional expertise with TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) through the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA).
