Labor & Delivery Nurse
Traveling nurses in the field of Labor and Delivery Nursing provide care to women who are in labor or who have recently delivered, or for those who may be having difficulties with labor. L & D nurses also work with doctors to devise a plan to assist in the careful delivery of healthy babies. - Labor and Delivery nurses treat the physical and psychosocial needs of women before, during and after giving birth. Duties of an L & D nurse can include instruction of natural childbirth techniques, supervising pregnancies, promoting healthy mother-child bonding after birth, and providing physical and emotional aid during labor and delivery.
