We're #1 in Omaha and #3 in the Nation for Best Places to Work!
Employees throughout Omaha were asked to complete a survey that measures employee satisfaction and engagement within their workplace and we topped the list of companies with 50-250 local employees. We've also been a finalist four of the past five years and this year?s 1st place ranking is the second time the company has earned the top spot. But that's not all!
We were also named #3 in Best Staffing Firms to work for 2012 in the NATION, by the Staffing Industry Analysts' survey. Both internal staff members and our Travelers were surveyed for this award with over17,000 staffing firm employees participating. Thanks to all our Travelers and Employees for making this possible!

Clinical Corner: Preventing Needlesticks
by Amber Barna, RN, Manager of Clinical & Quality Services
Having a needlestick is not only a stressful situation for the person who receives the stick, but it also can affect those around you as well.? There has been much advancement in the way of safe sharps, however, we still see needlesticks.? As a traveler, it is very important to be oriented not only to the equipment you will be using, but also to the processes at the facility.? When working with a device, never tamper or remove the safety apparatus.? Recapping of needles should also not be done as this increases risk of stick. ?Always choose an appropriate sharp with a safety apparatus.? It is also important to also use caution when disposing of a sharp device.
Should you have a needlestick, it is important to follow the post exposure protocol in order to make sure the course gets tested for bloodborne infections and you have baseline testing completed.? Always report the needlestick right away at the facility you are working and to the Director of Operations at Medical Solutions.? Your Career Consultant can get you in contact with that person.
