Introducing Our New Clinical Connection Series!

Clinical Corner, Job Seeker

Loyal blog readers may recall that Medical Solutions used to do a Clinical Corner blog series, where our fantastic internal team of nurses covered a variety of topics of specific to on-the-job and professional concerns of healthcare travelers.

Well, we’re rebooting an even better version for 2021! The series will now include videos and we’ve rechristened it “Clinical Connection,” to reflect our new brand values and ultimate purpose to connect care nationwide.

Clinical Connection episode one (see video below) introduces the new series, including some information about our Clinical Team (an incredible resource for our travelers!) and a bit about the kinds of topics we plan to cover in this space.

Check it out, let us know what you think in the comments, and be sure to chime in with any ideas for clinical-related topics or issues you’d like us to cover in the future!

Video Transcript:

Hi, welcome to the first episode of Medical Solutions’ Clinical Connection. I’m Betsy Martin, one of the Clinical Nurse Managers on the Medical Solutions Clinical Team.

There are over 20-plus members of us on the clinical team. We’re here to support our recruiters as well as all of our travelers out there. I myself have been a nurse since 2005; my clinical practice areas have been in transplant progressive care, pre-op and PACU, and I also have several years of experience in healthcare staffing.

Our clinical team is a resource for our travel nurses and travel allied healthcare professionals, as well as our recruiters. So, some of the things we do is help qualify and prescreen candidates to make sure we’re placing the right travelers on the right contracts — and we’re also there to help support our travelers if there are any issues or concerns that may come up on the assignment. What we wanted to do with the Clinical Connection is develop a space where we could talk about topics that are affecting really everyone in the healthcare industry and hopefully by having this discussion then we can really help you further your career and success.

In our Medical Solutions Clinical Connection series, we plan to cover topics like how to manage and prevent nurse burnout, how to handle workplace violence, how to handle workplace bullying, if you are involved in any incident reports how to handle that, how to refuse an unsafe patient assignment, what to do if you’re reported to the board of nursing … so, those are just some of the topics we plan to cover, and if you have any questions or topics that you’re interested in, please feel free to comment below. And, as always, if you would like to learn more about what we do at Medical Solutions you can visit MedicalSolutions.com.

Thank you for joining us for the first episode of Medical Solutions’ Clinical Connection. Please join us next time when we’ll talk about the topic of nurse burnout.
