Earns Eighth Joint Commission Recertification

News & Announcements

Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest travel nurse staffing companies, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, has earned its eighth-straight recertification from The Joint Commission. Since January 2005 — when Medical Solutions became one of the first staffing companies to receive the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ — the Travel Nurse company has continuously exemplified Joint Commission standards.

The Joint Commission conducted an on-site evaluation of Medical Solutions’ Omaha office October 24-25, 2016. The resulting recertification recognizes that Medical Solutions’ policies and procedures function in accordance with The Joint Commission’s standards. With this confirmation that Medical Solutions is in compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety, the agency has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ through 2018.

“Quality has always been our core competency and the foundation of everything we do at Medical Solutions, and this Joint Commission recertification is a validation of our approach,” says Medical Solutions CEO Craig Meier. “We appreciate The Joint Commission’s time and professional, objective evaluation, as well their commitment to overseeing quality throughout the healthcare staffing industry.”

The 2016 recertification signifies that Medical Solutions has met or exceeded several key aspects of the inspection process, such as methods for verifying the credentials and competence of healthcare staff. Certification also encompasses standards in guaranteeing security of information, leadership, human resources, performance measurement and improvement, and information management.

“Our team is extremely proud to have been awarded this recertification,” says Amber Barna, BSN, RN, Clinical Director of Nursing at Medical Solutions. “It validates that our processes and emphasis on quality and safety are effective, credible, and well-aligned with The Joint Commission’s expectations and standards.”
