Omaha, Neb. (October 29, 2013) – Medical Solutions is pleased to announce a big change to the medical insurance rates the company offers its travelers. The pet friendly travel nurse company will now offer basic single policy plans starting from just $10 per week. The new, lower rates are possible because Medical Solutions will now pay significantly more per month towards each traveler’s premium costs. This means that no matter a traveler’s plan or how many others (such as spouse or children) are covered under their policy, they will each save hundreds of dollars per month on medical insurance costs.
“We get such outstanding feedback from our travelers and this is one area where we heard a consensus,” said Craig Meier, Medical Solutions President. “We knew the right thing to do was to address concerns over medical insurance premium costs and offer our travelers better rates by absorbing the costs ourselves.”
The new medical insurance premium rates officially begin in January 2014. However, Medical Solutions is extending the savings right now to any current travelers who carry coverage with Medical Solutions and have contract dates that span into January 2014. This change also makes it an optimum time for travelers to re-sign, extend, or even refer a friend to Medical Solutions, as the new lower rates will also be offered for any extensions or new contracts spanning January 2014.
“There’s a lot of uncertainty for people right now when it comes to medical insurance coverage,” says Christy Johnston, Chief People Officer at Medical Solutions. “We want to make sure that we are able to provide our travel nurses with stable, affordable medical insurance rates, as well as the peace of mind that comes from having that coverage taken care of for them and their families.”

Update, posted 2.10.15: As of April 1, 2015, medical insurance rates through Medical Solutions will start at $15 per week. Rates are subject to change annually upon open enrollment.
