Omaha, Neb. (March 3, 2014) – Medical Solutions is pleased to announce that it was named one of Omaha’s “Best Places to Work” for the sixth time in seven years by the event’s sponsors, the Greater Omaha Chamber and Baird Holm LLP. The rankings are based upon a survey of internal employees.

“Our fun, engaging culture speaks for itself and attracts the best of workforce talent — from Omaha and beyond,” said Christy Johnston, Medical Solutions’ Chief People Officer. “We have the best people in the business and they end up staying with us for many years because we value how important it is for them to be happy and engaged at work. Earning this honor for the sixth time in seven years really shows that we’re sustaining a great workplace culture.”

Medical Solutions gives employees a variety of great benefits and provides a vibrant office environment. The company offers its employees day-one health and dental benefits, as well as 401(k) contributions and paid life insurance. The office dress code is that casual is king and employees benefit from a concierge service that runs a variety of personal errands and keeps the company kitchen fully stocked with complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snack items. An internal Culture Club helps plan monthly outings for employees which have included picnics in the park, trips to the movies, bowling, mini-golfing, and more. Medical Solutions also loves to surprise its crew with special treats, programs, and other events.

“Employees here see every day how much the company values and cares for us and our families. We also routinely see how much Medical Solutions cares for the Omaha community. Whether it is donating food, pet supplies, toys, or our time — there is nearly always a way for us to give something back through the company,” said UX Sculptor/Web Developer Aaron Daly, who volunteered last November with North Omaha’s Hope Center for Kids. The company sends all employees out in teams throughout the year to volunteer with local organizations during work hours.

“I always look forward to working with Medical Solutions,” says Laura VanBuren, Volunteer Coordinator at Hope Center for Kids. “Not only does their organization as a whole encourage and support community awareness, but the individuals on staff are caring, concerned members of the community that are willing to jump in and help with whatever the need is.” Medical Solutions also sent employee volunteers to Habitat for Humanity, Nebraska Humane Society, and the Sienna/Francis House in 2013, and will continue the volunteer program in 2014.

David G. Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber congratulated all of the 2014 winners, and added, “Research clearly shows that more engaged employees tend to stay longer, serve customers more effectively, and help drive a more profitable company.”

“Winning ‘Best Places to Work’ for the sixth time is the highest praise we can receive, because it means that our employees have once again indicated that what we’re doing is working,” said Craig Meier, Medical Solutions President. “Our success as a business starts and ends with the happiness of our employees and customers.”
