Hi there, and thank you for stopping by! I was born in a town in Indiana so small that the directions to get there include "go down the road a piece, cross over the railroad tracks, and it's just right there". The folks loaded up the car and came to Cincinnati when I was very young and I lived here until 1990 when I moved to Florida and joined the Marines (Semper Fi!). From there I was stationed in Quantico VA, just south of DC for 4 years, got to check out the FBI academy and the Pentagon - very cool. After that I headed west to Phoenix for a year, then back home. By the way, anyone who says "but it's a DRY heat" is nutso, 125 degrees is ALWAYS GONNA BE HOT! Now I fly around just for fun and play amateur tour guide for my travelers, collecting postcards from the awesome places they get to see! I've personally been to two Hawaiian islands, Cancun, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philly, and a few other places. I have a degree in Culinary Arts and Business, love to cook for my family and friends, and make a game out of making the recipes I enjoy healthier (so I can eat more - ha!). I have one son, he turns 26 this summer and he is without exception the BEST human being I know, which says a lot if you know my Dad who has an S on his chest and a cape flying off the back of his truck. I talk to Dad every day on my way home from work so if I don't answer your call on my cell between 5:00-5:30, that's why. I'm a dog lover, adopted a pup in February of last year and she is PRECIOUS!

That's me in a nutshell! If you wanna know more, you're gonna have to call. :)

I knew within 5 minutes of talking to Denise that she was the recruiter for me. She listened to what I wanted in an assignment and did her utmost to fulfill that for me. She was honest about all the pros and cons of a job and works tirelessly to make sure that I'm being taken care of while I'm on assignment. Denise and I may have started off as recruiter and nurse, but now we're also friends. She will call just to check on me, making sure that an assignment is going well. She'll often send me emails letting me know what is happening in the area I'm in, encouraging me to go out exploring. But most of all, Denise makes sure that I get the kind of experience that I'm looking for as a travel nurse.

Hello. My name is Teresa. I have been travel nursing for almost 7 years at the time of this writing. Denise Pottorf has been my recruiter for more than 6 years. She has always been very pleasant, very accommodating and very attentive to my wishes and needs. Denise far exceeded the role of a recruiter during a very difficult time for me and my family. While I was on an assignment, Denise made it possible for me to be home with my mother during the last of her time with us. There are no words that can express how much my family and I treasured that opportunity. I was on contract 2000 miles from home, and only because of Denise’s tremendous efforts within a matter of hours, could I hold my mother’s hand as she died. I will NEVER forget what Denise did (and has done) for me. Denise has listened patiently to my most joyous times as well as my most trying times with true caring. We have shared ups and downs with each other. I am truly honored that Denise is not only my recruiter, but also my dear friend. I have complete faith in her guidance and words of comfort, professionally and personally. Denise Pottorf is, in my opinion, the PLATINUM standard of what a recruiter should be. With utmost respect, Teresa A. Hatfield, RN

The best recruiter and company I have ever worked for. I have been a travel nurse since 2000 and was with a few companies and was never satisfied. Then I found Denise Pottorff, I have been with Denise forever, With On Assignment and then followed her to Medical Solutions. I actually consider her my friend, my confidante, my shrink, and my wine advisory board along with being my recruiter and life coach. She is so patient, punctual, always responds quickly due to my known OCD of organization. I get nervous about 5 weeks to end of current assignment and she gets to work immediately, looking for money, location, or why I want to go where I want to go and she will find it every time. She goes above and beyond for me (I'm a hand full sometimes), I love her. I recommend Denise to everyone and anyone interested in travel nursing or who are unhappy with their travel company. She is the best at her job and enjoys it. She is absolutely THE BEST recruiter(Friend) there is!!!!!!!!!

I have known Denise for about 8 years through my travel nursing career. I met her when she was with her prior company and continued to stay in contact through the years. My first impression was " this person is too good to be real". But the more I worked with her and talked with her, I found that she is as genuinely concerned for her travelers as we are for our patients. She is on top of the details and works hard for her nurses. She gives 110% all the time. I have dealt with other recruiters in the past, but Denise sets the bar pretty darn high. And the fact that she was in the Marine Corps lets me know that she will go above and beyond and has a sense of duty and integrity.... she will do the right thing. I cannot say enough good things about Denise.... she is a Nurse Recruiter Extrodinaire!!! And she is also a shining example of how good people can be.

My experience with Denise has been nothing less than stellar. This is my second round of traveling with Denise. I actually followed Denise from her prior company to Medical Solutions. With Denise, I never ever have to worry that all the details for my assignment haven't been hammered out as I head out for assignment. She will talk to you like you are old friends and she truly cares about you as a person as compared with companies that seem to have hype men/women lure you in. With Denise, you are a unique person with various needs and she is going to get you the best job possible for your skill set. I recommend Denise to any of my friends or family thinking about traveling as a nurse. She goes above and beyond to meet your needs whether it's your first assignment or your fifteenth. Above all,she is real about travel nursing, she is never going to make empty promises. Best of luck to any and all nurses wanting to travel. You'll have signed on with the best with Denise.

Denise has been exceptionally kind and helpful with me as I started my transition from Permanent to Travel Nursing! She not only was gung-ho about getting me a position quickly she also made sure to help coach me through the process and the learning curve with this new aspect of nursing care. I would highly recommend her!!!
