OK, so that was kind of a lot.

We know the onboarding process can be time-consuming and a little tedious, but it’s crucial for you to stay on top of everything to make sure you start your assignment on time.

Below we’ve suggested a few tasks for you to focus on. Don’t worry if you’ve already completed some of them or if you tackle them in a different order. That’s okay—onboarding isn’t the same for everyone!

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your onboarding specialist with any questions. Remember—we’re here to help!

Sign your background authorization as soon as possible. (We need you to fill out the form you received via email before we can conduct your background check.)

Complete your I-9 and perm tax document. (Do this so you can start getting paid!)

Upload, fill out, and sign your portal docs. (We know it looks like a lot, but we promise it doesn’t take long!)

Make sure to submit the requested health records, and complete the required drug test and screenings asap. (Scheduling and processing may take several weeks, so don't delay!)

Take any core competency exams required by your facility. (Your onboarding specialist will help you determine which ones you need.)

How to Onboard like a Superstar

Double-, triple-, and quadruple-check to make sure you have everything you need for your health screenings.

Call the lab ahead of time and confirm with your onboarding specialist to make sure you have the necessary documents to complete your drug test and any other required health screenings. Again, getting the results can take a while, so any errors or confusion could significantly delay the process.

Use a computer. (You’ll thank us later!)

Smartphones and tablets are great for a lot of things, but filling out paperwork isn’t one of them. It'll be SO MUCH easier on a bigger screen—trust us!

Submit your paperwork in ciro—not your recruiter.

Your recruiter is always a great resource, but when it comes to collecting onboarding documentation, please upload your records to ciro clinician, our app that makes traveling with Medical Solutions simpler, faster, and more rewarding than ever. That way you can keep track of everything in a central location and accurately note your progress.

Keep a positive attitude—and ask for help as soon as you need it!

If you don’t understand something or get stuck on a step, don’t get frustrated. Ask us for help! Your onboarding specialist is dedicated to guiding you through this process and resolving any issues you encounter so you can start your next assignment without any delays.
