ACLS, PALS, BLS
Hospital in central North Dakota is currently looking for PACU traveling nurses for 13 weeks starting ASAP. One of the nurses could be a nurse who worked pre op area before but the requirement would be a nurse who has worked in a bigger facility pre op versus an outpatient/ambulatory type setting because of the turnover time and different procedures we do. The positions will be working flex shifts on days/evenings, with highest percentage of hours falling between 6:30am and 6pm. There is a possibility that traveler would work 8/10/12 hour days, depending on schedule with possible call, 11pm-7am during the week, Fridays 9pm-7am, and Saturday-Sunday 7pm-7am. Call consists of 1 weekend out of 6-8 weekend depending on how many staff they have. ACLS and PALS are required. Ratio is 2 patients to 1 nurse. IV starting skills. They definitely see many peds patients but they don't look for specific training. The one's the usually see are ICU type of patients. They have a 12 unit PACU. They average 30-32 cases per day in the PACU. Scrubs provided. PSCU is Pre Surgical Care Unit. The hospital has not yet had the travelers do that aspect but they may need to utilize them in that role also.
