Job Description

Medsurg Oncology unit is looking for a certified nurse's aide that has acute care experience and they must be licensed in CA. MS Tele 7th floor unit is looking for a certified nurse's aide that has acute care experience and they must be licensed in CA. 5th floor MedSurg Tele w/ Oncology Natalie Olson (On-site visit 12/05/17) 34 beds (3 semi-private rooms, rest are private) "BLS & ACLS are required. Chemo cert would be a plus, but not preferred or required" "1 to 4 for tele & chemo assignments 1 to 5 for medical assignments 1 to 4-5 for combo Tele & MedSurg " Cerner experience preferred. Make sure to ask if they already have Cerner experience & if so, was this recent? They can comp test out of Cerner training. Yes - they do not typically take a patient assignment 2 on days, 1-2 on nights Every other weekend Yes, per the needs of the unit Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top it must be navy, white, or black. No hoodies. GE (central monitor station w/ 2 monitor techs). Strips are sent twice per shift, review, sign & put in chart. Bipap (not continuous Bipap) or Cpap. Pt must be able to self-rescue to be on this floor otherwise they need to be in the ICU. They do not have a stepdown unit at this hospital. Hospitalist in-house 24/7 No Yes Yes 12's 7-730 Self-scheduling done in team. Mgr will try to give what you want but will balance it out to meet the needs of the unit. 4th floor Tele, 7th floor MedSurg Tele, 6th floor Surgical w/ medical overflow & tele. Would not float to ER, ICU, Surgery, or OB 3 shifts with a preceptor MedSurg patients, chemo, palliative care Must have strong time management skills, customer service focused, & represent Dignity Health's Core Values by being committed to the organization. Someone that truly cares about the patient experience. 7th Floor MedSurg Tele Natalie Olson (On-site visit 12/05/17) 34 Beds (3 semi private, rest private) Average daily census is close to full, especially in the winter months BLS, ACLS, NIHSS "1 to 4 for tele assignments 1 to 5 for MedSurg assignments or a combo of both but they try to keep 1 to 4 if combo" Cerner experience preferred. Make sure to ask if they already have Cerner experience & if so, was this recent? They can comp test out of Cerner training. Yes Yes - usually 2 on days and one on nights but it depends which unit Every other weekend 2 out of 3 Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket it also must be navy. If tele is full they will get CVA overflow, CP w/ (-) enzymes, troponins, etc. COPD, CHF, diabetics, ARF w/ dialysis, pneumonia, Abd pain, mental health (will use sitters (CNAs) if needed) Fast paced, winter season has a higher turn-over.
