Jim’s latest video offers information on Travel Nurse contract extensions — in a Jimute!

Give us the 411, Jim!

When an assignment goes well — meaning both the Traveler and hospital are satisfied with the fit — and the hospital’s staffing need continues beyond the contract end date, a contract extension may be possible. If you’re really enjoying your current assignment and location, contract extension may be a great option for you!

As Jim said, it’s a good idea to think and plan ahead if you are interested in extending your current contract. Communicating openly with your recruiter and the facility about your interest in extending will go a long way towards getting the outcome you desire. You should tell your recruiter you’d like to extend about 6 weeks ahead of your contract end date so that he or she can pursue the possibility. Of course, not every contract is available for extension, but it is a common practice, so speak up early if you’re interested!
