First assignment in NorCal!! Decided to travel after my husband got out of the military, and see the USA! Thanks Medical Solutions
On my days off, I volunteer with the local SAR communities and California Search and Rescue Dog Association.
Without becoming a Travel Nurse, I would still be at home and probably never have left my hometown hospital. I am very grateful for the opportunity Medical Solutions has given me to work and travel. Next stop, Milwaukee, Wisconsin!
While working in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I was able to take a four-day trip to Denver, Colorado and I went hiking with one of my college friends in Rocky Mountain National Park!
My husband and I packed our bags and drove to California for my first travel assignment. We spent that time exploring all that the central coast had to offer. We spent many mornings at the beach and enjoyed a little taste of wine country in Napa Valley. Next, we headed north to Seattle, Washington where we have enjoyed lots of beautiful views, a ferry ride, and good food. We look forward to continuing our exciting adventure!
My husband and I found ourselves chasing our own shadow (literally), while driving on the Native American reservation near Cannon Ball, North Dakota. If you look closely at this photo, you will see that I captured the shadow of our vehicle traveling down the road. I have been traveling with Medical Solutions on and off for two years now, and they are by far my favorite agency! Josh, you rock!
Before I started with Medical Solutions I had never stepped foot in the Pacific Ocean, had lunch on top of a mountain, or stared in awe at the Grand Canyon; this week I did all three.
I was told that Travel Nursing was not good for people with families. For me, it has been the opposite. My husband's job requires him to travel often. I am so excited for this opportunity with Medical Solutions, but even more, I am so thankful that it has allowed us to be a complete family again.
Being a Travel Nurse is amazing because with each new assignment comes the chance to learn and grow in my career. Thanks to Medical Solutions, I am becoming a more diverse nurse. Medical Solutions has always been there for me. I honestly think I have the best recruiter possible.
Here are my Travel Nursing sisters at the Hoover Dam. One is an OR nurse in New York City, the other is an ER nurse in San Diego. We are all sisters, all nurses.
During my Arizona assignment, I hiked to Havasupai Falls and camped at the Indian reservation at the bottom. From there, I hiked down to the Colorado River and back. In all, I covered 36 miles in three days, and it was the most beautiful, serene environment I have ever been in!
Travel nursing is a great way to learn about yourself personally, challenge yourself professionally, all while exploring and experiencing the big, beautiful world we live in.
Our Cocoa is a great traveler. She has visited Badlands National Park, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse Memorial. She is going to be one well-traveled dog.
What better way to see the country, be a permanent tourist, advance your nursing skills, and figure out where you want to live when you grow up? Travel Nursing is the best!
As a huge baseball fan, traveling has given me the opportunity to see many games. This past weekend, I was able to meet one of my favorite baseball players. He even took time to take a picture with me and sign my jersey!
Traveling has always brought me many wonderful memories. Travel Nursing is creating more opportunities for more wonderful experiences and beautiful memories.
Since I started traveling four years ago, I have seen some pretty amazing places, met some really wonderful people, and adopted two fur babies. Life is an adventure and Travel Nursing lets me live mine to the fullest.
Traveling has been quite an adventure. I have been able to hike and camp in the beautiful forest of the Olympic Peninsula. It's an amazing place to hike.
I am a labor and delivery nurse who has traveled since September of 2014. Originally from Georgia, I have done assignments in Connecticut, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Honolulu, Manhattan and Denver.
While on assignment in Palo Alto, California, we decided to visit the place where the hippie movement began. Great place with interesting people and stories. Thanks Doug! Great assignment!
