This is my first day as a gypsy. Yes , my car is all packed and I am ready to go. What adventures, challenges, and accomplishments lie before me!
My friend and I decided to live outside of our comfort zone for 13 weeks. So, we made the most of our first travel assignment by taking road trips. On our days off, we would drive to San Jose, San Francisco, and Carmel, California. We will always cherish that trip.
My kids are grown and gone. So I decided it was time to explore this great country, help people, and make great new friends!
On the road trip to our first Travel Nursing job at the University of Washington, we attempted to hit as many national parks as possible, or what we called our 'multi-national park extravaganza.' We saw some of the gems of the country, including Grand Canyon National Park and Petrified Forest National Park, and we look forward to all the adventures Seattle will bring!
While on a road trip recommended by one of our patients, my fiance and I went on a hot air balloon ride in Winter Park, Colorado. While it was cold, the experience was totally worth it.
My husband and I found ourselves chasing our own shadow (literally), while driving on the Native American reservation near Cannon Ball, North Dakota. If you look closely at this photo, you will see that I captured the shadow of our vehicle traveling down the road. I have been traveling with Medical Solutions on and off for two years now, and they are by far my favorite agency! Josh, you rock!
Boise, Idaho was absolutely beautiful. I was hesitant to go, but was very happily surprised. Best assignment so far!
I spent my first travel assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana during Mardi Gras, then made my way up the East Coast, where I worked as a summer camp nurse. I spent a gorgeous autumn in New England, and then traveled to Memphis, Tennessee for the winter. I spend my assignments eating all the good food, adventuring outdoors with my dog, and baking goodies to send back home!
One of my FAVORITE spots in Arizona, Sedona, just down the road is sliding rock state park - a natural-made water slide! I went camping just down the street and woke up early for that hike and saw some hot air balloons in the distance.
My husband and I are new to Travel Nursing. We are so happy to have already seen so many sights with our two little boys. So excited to see more as the assignments come.
I've been loving my Alaska assignment, thanks to Megan with Medical Solutions.
Here are my Travel Nursing sisters at the Hoover Dam. One is an OR nurse in New York City, the other is an ER nurse in San Diego. We are all sisters, all nurses.
While on a travel assignment in Vancouver, Washington, I visited lovely sights at the waterfalls with other Travelers. An amazing nurse named Shannon took us to the falls. On this same trip, we were close to Oregon, so we visited a beautiful rose garden.
If you seek adventure and enjoy new, flexible work environments than travel nursing is the right path for you!
I am a labor and delivery nurse who has traveled since September of 2014. Originally from Georgia, I have done assignments in Connecticut, San Francisco, Seattle, San Diego, Honolulu, Manhattan and Denver.
While I was on assignment in Auburn, Washington, I visited the Olympic National Park. It hosts the largest unmanaged herd of Roosevelt elk in the Pacific Northwest. It was so amazing!
I love the adventure and challenge of travel nursing! I enjoy exploring a new city and seeing what each state has to offer.
Travel Nursing allows my family to explore the country together. We have now visited 28 states and parts of Canada. The last year and a half has made way for some of the biggest memories and most joyous experiences of our lives. We are blessed!
I've been on many adventures as a Traveling RN in Alaska. I've seen so many great places, encountered different cultures, and met several new friends.
While working in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I was able to take a four-day trip to Denver, Colorado and I went hiking with one of my college friends in Rocky Mountain National Park!
