Medical Solutions travel nurse Mila Maraj has been recognized by WREG and the Tennessee Center for Nursing Advancement as one of the region’s outstanding nurses.
Maraj is a cardiovascular surgical nurse at Methodist University Hospital, specializing in complex heart and lung procedures including transplants and valve repairs. Originally from Florida and a graduate of Daytona State College, she has been traveling with Medical Solutions for the past year.
She says she takes pride in advocating for her patients and supporting surgical teams. “My parents came to this country to give me opportunities they never had, and I’ve carried that gratitude and determination with me every step of the way,” Maraj shared.
Maraj was nominated by a fellow nurse on her team. Her recruiter, Leslie Cherok, praised her impact:
“Mila has been an incredible asset to our team,” said Cherok. “She is adventurous, thoughtful, and dependable, and above all, an outstanding nurse. Her commitment to her patients and her practice is unmatched. She truly is remarkable.”
