Medical Solutions, one of the nation’s largest healthcare staffing companies, today announced it’s expanding its recruitment program to include three camps of SeriousFun Children’s Network (SeriousFun), a non-profit organization which provides life-changing camp experiences to children living with serious illnesses and their families. The expanded program will provide recruitment services, including a scholarship program and financial donation to cover medical needs, to Roundup River Ranch located in Gypsum, Colo., Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, Fla. (north of Orlando), and The Painted Turtle in Lake Hughes, Calif. (north of Los Angeles).
Since 2015, Medical Solutions has been a partner of Roundup River Ranch, helping to staff highly-skilled registered nurses for the camp. In 2017, the company became an official medical partner of Roundup River Ranch, serving as the exclusive recruitment provider for its nursing staff.
“It’s exciting that our relationship with Medical Solutions has continued to strengthen and grow over the years, and now, into this additional partnership with Camp Boggy Creek and The Painted Turtle,” said Ruth Johnson, president and CEO, Roundup River Ranch. “Our camp experiences have such a positive and often lifelong impact on the children and their families. Ensuring that we have the best qualified nursing staff and medical supervision is critical. Medical Solutions’ commitment to our partnership is invaluable.”
“We feel tremendously fortunate to be able to expand our support and recruitment efforts to include these additional SeriousFun camps, helping ensure these summer campers have access to exceptional nursing staff and care,” said Craig Meier, CEO at Medical Solutions. “Not only do these camps have a profound effect on children and their families around the world, but our nurses walk away with life-changing experiences, and new and refined nursing skills following their summer at the camp.”
Medical Solutions’ recruiting efforts are currently underway to help staff nurses for the upcoming summer sessions at Roundup River Ranch, Camp Boggy Creek and The Painted Turtle. Recruited registered nurses are provided a paid assignment with completion bonus. The assignment includes free food and housing, and runs from early May through the end of August. Ideal candidates for the summer camp opportunities are ER nurses with pediatric experience, PICU experience or at least one year of recent pediatric experience.
