Medical Solutions celebrates allied professionals driving the future of care

OMAHA, NE — During National Allied Health Professions Week (Nov. 1–7, 2026), Medical Solutions is recognizing the essential contributions of allied health professionals who are powering patient care and shaping the future of healthcare delivery.

From radiologic technologists and respiratory therapists to lab scientists, physical therapists, pharmacists, and more, allied health professionals represent a critical and growing segment of the healthcare workforce.

Demand for these roles continues to accelerate. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects healthcare occupations will grow much faster than average through 2034, with about 1.9 million job openings annually due to growth and turnover. At the same time, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) projects significant shortages across allied health roles by 2038 (including tens of thousands of physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and dispensing opticians).

These gaps, which are driven by rising patient demand, workforce burnout, and limited education pipelines, make long-term workforce sustainability a top priority.

“At Medical Solutions, we see allied health professionals not just as part of the care team, but as a driving force behind how care is evolving,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, CEO of Medical Solutions. “They are navigating increasing complexity every day, and they deserve support that evolves just as quickly.”

“Supporting this workforce means more than filling roles,” Tijerino added. “It’s about creating career pathways, prioritizing wellbeing, and building flexible workforce solutions that help clinicians thrive long term.”

To celebrate, Medical Solutions is hosting giveaways and interactive activities across its social media channels throughout the week.

Beyond the celebration, Medical Solutions supports healthcare organizations with flexible allied health workforce solutions. These solutions help reduce burnout, improve retention, and expand access to care.

This week and every week, Medical Solutions thanks allied health professionals for keeping care moving forward.
