Omaha, Neb. (April 3, 2013) – Medical Solutions announced today that it was named one of Omaha’s “Best Places to Work” for the fifth time in six years by the event’s sponsors, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and Baird Holm LLP. Medical Solutions was also named 2013’s “Best Staffing Firm to Work For” in the nation in the midsize category by Staffing Industry Analysts.
“Medical Solutions’ unique culture celebrates its employees and its clients. Their passion for maintaining an exceptionally friendly and positive workplace continues to pay off,” shared David G. Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.
“We focus on treating our people like the superstars they are,” said chief people officer, Christy Johnston. “Our culture lets us recruit and retain the best of the best in Omaha.”
The company offers complete health, dental, 401(k) benefits and paid life insurance from day one. In-office concierge service runs personal errands for all employees and the ultra-casual dress code encourages flip-flops and T-shirts. Medical Solutions regularly holds company events and outings but prides itself on surprising employees with Dilly Bars or busing them to see a baseball game, hearing motivational speakers, or even to picnics in the park.
“Medical Solutions is a great place to work because they truly care for every employee, our families and the community we live in,” said healthcare quality coordinator, Gigi Zeman. “We have a company program that provides us with the opportunity to give back to the community during work hours,” she said. Last Christmas, Zeman participated in an employee effort to adopt nine families with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands.
Sheryl Lindau, director of organizational development of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Midlands, said “Our families know how special Medical Solutions’ people are. Their culture of caring is making as big an impact in the community as it does at work.” Medical Solutions is also a major supporter of other important Omaha organizations like Lydia House at the Open Door Mission and the Hope Center in north Omaha.
“I’ve worked at several places in Omaha, but Medical Solutions really is the best,” said placement specialist, Keahna Williams. “Most companies talk about ‘positive culture’ and ‘community engagement.’ Medical Solutions is the real deal.”
“This recognition is the ultimate compliment because it’s based entirely on the feedback of our incredible employees,” said Craig Meier, Medical Solution’s president. “It takes the best people to be the best workplace.”
